The Allegheny Club has been a vibrant participant in the Pittsburgh business and sports scene for over 30 years. In the late 1960’s the concept of establishing a new business club housed within Three Rivers Stadium coincided with planning for the new home of the Pirates and the Steelers. Hence, The Allegheny Club was created and made a significant contribution to making Three Rivers a reality. The Club celebrated its grand opening on July 16, 1970, as the Pirates hosted the Cincinnati Reds. Club members and guests have witnessed the Steelers four Super Bowl championships, the Pirates two World Series championships, Pitt’s football championship, and scores of critical and thrilling sporting contests.
