The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is entering into a bold new era with an innovative model for artistic leadership. PSO Board Chairman Richard Simmons today announced the three-year appointment of a team of conductors headed by internationally renowned Sir Andrew Davis, who as Artistic Advisor will lead the orchestra in five subscription weeks in Heinz Hall and on domestic and international tours. He will also be taking an active role in the community as well as in the life of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Sir Andrew continues as music director of Lyric Opera of Chicago, where he conducts several productions each season.
